The project has converted 12,000ha of previously logable forest to a protected forest. The income generated from the sale of these credits will support the TLC’s conservation efforts in managing these important lands, using science and technology to guide our conservation work.
We are leading the way in establishing a comprehensive monitoring program that will see hundreds of photo-monitoring sites in the landscape strategically linked to a network of fauna monitoring stations designed to track our wildlife over time.
Our vision is for the monitoring stations to be capable of sending real time information to our scientists to interpret.
