CMI’s Net Zero Transition Planning Three-Part Program
- Transition planning in context, Wednesday 9 April 2025
- Starting your net zero journey, Friday 16 May 2025
- Engaging with carbon markets in net zero transition, Friday 23 May 2025
The development and communication of robust private sector transition plans is an important area of corporate climate practice. CMI’s new Net Zero transition planning education program introduces key concepts for organisations seeking to understand the role of net zero transition planning in private sector climate leadership. Although sometimes called climate transition action plans, net zero plans or sustainability plans, a transition plan details an organisation’s journey towards net zero emissions. Australia’s climate-related financial disclosure regime requires covered entities to disclose any climate-related transition plan the entity has. International frameworks are also maturing and converging on the expectation for organisations to have credible transition plans that address strategy, targets and pathways, action, and governance. Through a three-part online webinar series, this program will help you meet these growing expectations by introducing the key inclusions for credible transition plans, how to engage with carbon markets in net zero transition and how organisations can use a transition plan to inform broader company strategy and risk. Webinars will be recorded.
Cost: CMI members – FREE | Non-CMI members – $100 for the three sessions + recordings
