International Initiatives Hub

As climate change policy best practice evolves, several initiatives have emerged to support both public and private engagement with the climate transition. There is now a landscape with a patchwork of interacting standards, all supporting a transparent, integrity-driven and nature positive transition to net zero and beyond.

Several of these initiatives are referenced throughout CMI’s Member & Sponsorship Policy, and establish an important precedent for the level of engagement and transparency expected by organisations in this space. CMI has provided summaries of these key initiatives below, though it is noted that this is intended as an information hub, not as prescriptive guidance.
