Early last year she was appointed chief executive of CMI member Climate Friendly where she is leading its charge to eliminate 100 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions by the year 2025. This would represent a fivefold increase on the total to date.
“The untapped potential from this sector is enormous,” Glenday said.
Glenday is working with the government to make the changes which will also allow remote sensors and other technologies to make carbon measurement cheaper and more accessible.
That way “projects are stacked so you can manage the soil, the cattle herds and revegetation all on the one farm and be compensated for each”.
