COP29 EOIs due Friday + Upcoming Working Group Dates
Dear Members,
Three main points to cover off in today’s memo:
1. COP29 Expressions of Interest Close this Friday
2. International Policy Working Group Meeting this Friday
3. Next Australian Climate Policy Working Group Date set
1. COP29: Expressions of Interest due COB Friday 19th July
COP29 is taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11-22 November. The outcomes of the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG) and Article 6 will be a litmus test for the overall success of the conference. Outcomes of these critical agenda items will enable countries to enhance their next round of NDCs.
As an accredited observer organisation under the UNFCCC, CMI leads a delegation to attend COP annually. This is a reminder that if you wish to submit an Expression of Interest to attend COP29 as part of our delegation, applications close COB this Friday 19th July. EOIs can be submitted via our Members Portal here. Please note, participation is nominative (not organisational) and members are responsible for their own costs. We will confirm participation following the UNFCCC allocation of passes in mid-August.
