Australia’s premier business and climate event, the 12th Australasian Emission Reduction Summit is scheduled for 13-14 August on Wurundjeri Country, Melbourne.
The Summit will provide an opportunity to take stock of major global and Australian developments coming up in the first half of 2025: the incoming Trump presidency and possible changes to the US climate policy, Australia’s 2035 NDC announcement due in February 2025, Australian federal election and Australia vying for the COP31 Presidency together with its Pacific partners.
These events will be playing out against backdrop of geopolitical and economic uncertainty that have the potential to overshadow climate policy.
2025 is also the 10th anniversary of the Paris Climate Agreement, presenting a natural inflection point to take stock of progress and regroup for a renewed effort towards a net zero economy.
CMI is seeking partners to support this flagship event in the CMI calendar. Please contact CMI’s events team to discuss your requirements further.
