As Australia’s largest airline, Qantas recognises its responsibility to reduce emissions and work with partners, government and industry to contribute to the global response to climate change.
Qantas has been offsetting carbon pollution for more than a decade and now have the largest airline offset program in the world. Together with their customers, they have offset more than 3 million tonnes of carbon – the equivalent of 1.1 million cars off the road.
Now Qantas is sharing this capability with businesses that want to meet growing demand for sustainable choices. The Qantas Future Planet program partners with some of Australia’s leading organisations including John Holland, EY and Allens to align offsetting activities with business goals and demonstrate collaborative innovation.
Qantas Future Planet was recently voted the Best Corporate Offset Program and invests in over 40 verified, independently accredited offset projects of the highest quality around the world, each with its own unique story. The impacts go beyond the environment – they also deliver health, education and employment benefits.
To help their partners reach the right people with the right messages about sustainability, they deliver insights from their 12 million Qantas Frequent Flyers.
“It’s good for business, good for people and good for our future planet”.
