CMI joins the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition

bradkerin Announcements

CMI is excited to announce a new role as a strategic partner of the World Bank’s Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition.

Launched on the opening day of COP21 in Paris, the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC) is a voluntary initiative that catalyzes action towards the successful implementation of carbon pricing around the world. The CPLC brings together leaders from government, business, civil society and academia to support carbon pricing, share experiences and enhance the global, regional, national and sub-national understanding of carbon pricing implementation. The CPLC Secretariat is administered by The World Bank Group.

From December 2020, CMI will join the CPLC’s cohort of strategic partners – a global community of NGOs, business organisations and universities that will actively work to support the goals of the CPLC within their networks. CMI aims to connect the knowledge, expertise and resources of the CPLC with business leaders and policy makers that are driving Australia’s economic decarbonisation efforts towards a net-zero future.

Working with our members and our other partners, CMI will work to expand and educate on the value of carbon pricing in both voluntary and compliance markets, and continue to act as a conduit between global thought leadership and corporate climate strategy implementation.

CMI looks forward to engaging further with the CPLC in Australia and the region, and sharing our knowledge and expertise with the broader CPLC community.

To engage further with CMI and the CPLC, please get in touch with CMI’s General Manager Brad Kerin via brad.kerin@carbonmarketinstitute.org – and consider becoming a corporate member.
