CMI is seeking to a Carbon Finance Advisor – Agri-business, to join a passionate and dedicated team working with Australian businesses leading the transition to net-zero emission by 2050. The role is an 18 month, part-time contract position responsible for the coordination and management of a Market Readiness project with the financial services & agricultural sectors. CMI is open to remote/ flexible working options (rural/ regional candidates are welcome) and the post will suit a candidate with a minimum of 5 – 10 years demonstrated professional experience in finance, agri-business banking, carbon farming.

The role reports directly to the CMI Executive and requires a three day per week commitment. It is an excellent opportunity to become a market leader in the field and CMI is open to a secondment from a bank or financial institution.

Role details
The primary purpose of this Carbon Finance Advisor – Agri-business role is to support a critical CMI Market Readiness program around financial services sector and Agri-business carbon opportunities. The role will involve overseeing the program: undertaking research and analysis on carbon contracts and land valuations, producer/ supply chain pathways; preparing key guidance and education documents and reports; developing capacity-building collateral and programs; implementing outreach and building critical relationships; exploring innovative financial services and products; supporting the industry and related initiatives and developments.
